Story
Hi guys, I'm riding for Al Noori Muslim School in Pedal 4 Kids this year to raise important funds for the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation and the Neuromuscular Clinic at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.
The Sydney Children's Hospital department of Paediatric Neurology cares for children with general neurological problems and in the specialised areas of epilepsy, neuromuscular disease, brain tumour and neurometabolic disorders.
Being sick can be really tough for kids. Not just because they might be in pain, need lots of tests or treatments or have to talk to lots of doctors, but also because it can stop them from doing things that they enjoy.
The Sydney Children’s Hospital has special ways of caring for kids, they help them feel better and to have them stay healthy and out of hospital in future. Plus, they hope to have a bit of fun with them along the way!
This May, I’m going to be sweating it out and doing my best to complete a gruelling 132km cycle which starts in Kiama and travels along the Princes Motorway to Shellharbour and then follow the scenic South Coast all the way through to Thirroul then through the Royal National Park and finally to finish at the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
We're aiming to raise $150,000 from the ride and to do this, we need your help! Help us help kids affected by these disabilities by donating to our fundraising. Any donation you can make will make a huge difference to the lives of these little patients.
I am honoured to be a part of this team, amazing ride and helping a great cause, and we would really appreciate your support in this endeavour.
